Chrome 42 Support of Naveego

The most recent release of Chrome (Version 42) no longer supports plug-ins such as Silverlight which is used by Naveego’s Widget Builder and by some Naveego users for viewing dashboards. The new browser’s default settings turn off any plug-ins. At this time, we are not recommending the use of the Chrome browser for Naveego web application due to lack of Silverlight support. Please use an alternative browser.

If you wish to continue to use Chrome, you can re-enable  plug-ins, so Naveego will work. However, please be aware that the settings required to do so are not recommended by Google.

Here are the steps to re-enable:

  1. Open Chrome and type “chrome://flags” in the address bar.
  2. Find the Enable NPAPI setting and click “Enable.”
  3. Close all Chrome tabs and reopen the Chrome browser. Note: If the Chrome background icon is visible in the notification area, exit that as well.
